My name is Flick Whitehead and I am an artist and printmaker, I run a small print studio from my home called 'Little Outhouse Prints'.  I come from a background of Printed Textiles and have a degree from Leeds College of Art and Design.

I specialise in running Art Workshops, Chalkboard design and bespoke murals.

I have 15 years experience teaching students art from pre-school age up to A Level.  For 5 years I worked as a Printmaking Tutor and Art Technician at Wheatley Park School, where I taught classes, ran clubs and specialised in raising achievement with GCSE and A Level students.  I have also spent a year running weekly after school Art Clubs in four different primary schools across South Oxfordshire.  I have had a wonderful time curating Art Workshops for several other locally based primary schools, creating large scale printed maps, tapestries, and exhibitions.

I also get involved with community projects, such as scenery painting for local productions, murals and chalkboards

My own work is taken directly from original drawings from my sketchbooks, my inspiration is my 1950's home, daily life, holidays on the British coast and the beautiful landscape that surrounds me here in Brightwell-cum-Sotwell.  I develop my sketches into screen prints, lino cuts and etchings.  I also love taking on a commision, whether it be a poster to design, an ink drawing of someones home or a beloved pet.

Creating Art is most enjoyable when connecting with others.  My ethos is that no matter what age, ability or interest everyone should have the opportunity to be involved in Art, and to be able have the joyous feeling of saying 'I did that!'
